The battle of Saratoga was arguably the most important battle of the Revolution! It was a turning point for the colonial morale and it encouraged the colonials to enlist. Furthermore, it was the tipping point for the french to ally with the colonies. Saratoga was fought by the British and the German soldiers against the colonists. The battle was made up of two main skirmishes including the battle of Bemis Heights and the Battle of Freeman's Farm. The entire battle of Saratoga lasted from September of 1777 to October of that same year.
